If you watched “The Biggest Fight of The Century” few hours ago, there’s no doubt you felt the same.

It’s difficult to believe that Pacquiao lost in the match. On the other side, I can understand that Mayweather used precise punches and agile outboxing technique. That’s what made him the title holder. However Pacquiao’s courage, determination, and warm smiles (seriously 🙂 ) are what made him champion of our heart.

The words went viral, too. There are some comments on Facebook.

There are other things that made Pacquiao the real people’s champion. First, he brought his friends and families to watch the match live in MGM Arena, Las Vegas. There are 900 people. He paid about $3.000.000 just for one night! That is insane amount of money. But still nothing compared to the second reason. So the fight money is about $300.000.000, split 60-40 in favor of Mayweather. So, Pacquiao would get $120.000.000 whether he win or lose. He decided to donate half of it for charity. I think only insignificant portion of our population will be able to do that.

The most recent shocking news is related to Indonesia. It was said that Pacquiao directly contacted Joko Widodo in order to release Mary Jane Veloso. I quoted an article from The DailyMail:

The boxer’s statement to the Indonesian leader read: ‘His Excellency, President Joko Widodo, I am Manny Pacquiao.

‘On behalf of Mary Jane Veloso, and the entire Filipino people, I am begging and knocking on your kind heart that Your Excellency will grant executive clemency to her.

‘Mr President, on May 2 I’ll be fighting in Las Vegas, Nevada, against Floyd Mayweather. It is considered the fight of the century. It will be a great morale booster if, in my own little way, I can save a life. I am dedicating this fight to my country and the entire Asian people, to which the Philippines and Indonesia belong. Thank you, Mr President.’

We’ll have endless list if we keep talk about his wonderful actions. So let me state this: Manny Pacquiao is champion, both inside and outside the ring.
